Mary Theotokos - Icon of Hope
The Eastern Christian looks upon Mary as we would look upon an Icon. An Icon is a window which allows us to look into the "other" world. It teaches us about other kinds of realities and deeper dimensions of life. In prayer before an Icon of Jesus or the Theotokos we enter into their living presence! Our troubled world today needs these “windows” to offer us hope.
