A Great Listener
Like Mary we need to ponder and treasure in our own hearts. What might this look like in our busy days? As hard as it may be, we do need to give ourselves time and opportunity to be quiet.  In the silence, we can listen to the inner promptings of God. At some part of our day, morning, noon or night or even on the commute to work, to be in silence and allow God to speak is essential. It this hard work –most definitely. Is it important to the spiritual life – most definitely!
